The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department doesn't own or operate any Flock cameras itself, but a memorandum of understanding with Flock gives its officers access to thousands of cameras statewide through other agencies and private businesses. That access came under scrutiny in August 2026 after an officer was arrested and accused of using the system to help a drug investigation target evade an undercover operation.
